A Leading Supplier for Disposable Food Service Products in Singapore
SSA Holding Pte Ltd (SSA) officially started in Mar 2022. Previously, the company was known as Song Seng Associates Pte Ltd (SSAS). SSAS was founded in 1984 by Mr Willie Soh & his wife, Mdm Christina Ng.
Over the years, Mr Willie Soh & Mdm Christina Ng managed to grow SSAS into one of the largest single use disposable meal service packaging distributors in Singapore. Besides serving customers locally, SSAS also started to export to many regional countries like Australia, Papua New Guinea etc. Gradually, SSAS even expanded into the cinema concessionary business and started selling corn kernel, churros & concessionary merchandize
SSAS continued operations as a privately owned business till 2013 when it was acquired by Duni AB, a listed Swedish company on NASDAQ Stockholm. Post acquisition, the company novated to become Duni Song Seng Pte Ltd (DSS). Mr Willie Soh & Mdm Christina Ng continued as directors for DSS for a few years before they decided to take a step back and finally took a well-deserved break after almost 30 years.
The opportunity to restart the business presented itself when Duni AB announced the closure of DSS in Singapore in Feb 2022. Subsequently, many of SSAS’s old customers who have been with the company since its early days asked if Mr Willie Soh & Mdm Christina Ng would consider serving them again. Hence, after much deliberation, Mr Willie Soh & Mdm Christina Ng decided to restart the business and this marked the beginning of SSA Holding Pte Ltd

SSAS was officially founded
SSAS was the first company to introduce paper cups for cold/hot use in the market in the late 80s when washable cups were still mainly used
First disposable meal service packaging company to import cups from the USA, Italy & Japan
The company continued growing & became a full fledged one-stop shop for meal service disposable packaging
Went into a JV ownership of a PET factory in Taiwan. The factory is now the largest PET cups factory in Taiwan
Introduced PET cups into the market & started exporting regionally
Expanded our portfolio and started selling into the cinema concessionary business
Secured exclusive rights to produce/distribute for certain cinema houses like WB.
Subsequently set up a full fledged subsidiary company- GLC ,to handle all the concessionary business
Sold the business to Duni AB
After acquisition, became known as DSS
Introduced Duni premium napkins & table coverings to the market
DSS announced its closure and exit from Singapore Market in Feb 2022
Decided to restart the business in the form of SSA in Feb 22 as a result of many loyal customers requesting to work with Mr Willie Soh & Mdm Christina Ng again
